Tasks and Qualifications:
Core Responsibilities:
Execution and/or assistance on AGV Risk Assessments (RA)
Execution and/or assistance on AGV Systems Risk Assessments
Conduct and manage Risk Assessments meetings with other teams
Defining and documenting safety requirement specifications (SRS)
Collaborate with other teams on the definition of cost-effective safety solutions that meet customers needs
Validating hardware solutions using BGIA SISTEMA tool
Composing the safety related documents of the Technical File (TF), required to be compliant with the Machine Directive 2006/42/EC
Supporting the Sales and the Solution Development Departments
Visiting customers sites to execute the System RA
Preparing safety related information for the document writers
Create or improve internal KION safety related instructions and procedures
Evaluate safety standards under review and propose improvements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
5 years of hardware/software and/or functional safety design experience in the autonomous industry
Basic knowledge of basic Directives and Standards:
Machine Directive 2006/42/EC
ISO 12100-2011
ISO 13849-1:2016 and ISO 13849-2:2013
IEC 60204:2018
ISO 13850:2015
ISO 13857:2008
Experience with execution of Risk Assessments
Experience with Procedures for assessing the conformity of machinery with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
Experience with the use of functional safety tools and techniques
Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic controlling systems
Experience working with Agile methodologies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and performance integration related applications
Passion for standards and rules with the skill to translate the requirements into clear instructions for your stakeholders
You are fluent in English. Additional language skills are a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
Having CMSE® and/or CECE® certificates
Knowledge of IBF “Safexpert”
Knowledge of ISO 3691-4:2020 and the other standards of the ISO 3691 series
Knowledge of ANSI B11.0, ANSI B11.19, ANSI B11.26, ANSI B56.5
Travel:
Occasional national or international travel to support sales, commissioning & service at customer sites.
Occasional international travel to visit other KION sites
