We are looking to strengthen our Devices, Packaging & Wearables Tech department at our hub in Braine L’Alleud, Belgium, by filling the position of: Secondary Packaging Industrialization Expert.
About the role:
As a UCB Industrialization Expert, you will engage in various activities related to the development, packaging component design validation, and industrialization of secondary and tertiary packaging within UCB's global packaging operations. This includes both development and commercial operations on a global scale, excluding shipping qualifications or cold chain-related development activities.

And also many stakeholders from internal and external manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, device development, quality, affiliates, environmental sustainability.
What you will do:
Lead projects from initial design concepts to the industrialization completion and lifecycle management of packaging solutions. Deliver technical expertise to optimize processes and meet quality and green objectives. Manage projects, including change control, team communication, and stakeholder engagement. Ensure understanding and implementation of legislation, standards, and guidelines for packaging. Optimize and troubleshoot secondary/tertiary packaging activities and components. Participate in team activities for objectives definition, planning, feedback, documentation update, and process improvement. Lead tech transfers, validation, investigations, and support activities for secondary packaging. Supervise communication around secondary packaging with packaging sites. Interested? For this role, you’ll need the following education, experience, and skills:
Proven experience in a secondary/tertiary packaging manufacturing environment. Ability to balance efficiently multiple priorities and projects. Significant operation management experience in a GMP environment: 1-10 years. Exposure to pharmaceutical project management (tech transfer, product launch, new regulation). Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills. Ability to work in multi-functional teams, result-oriented and manage projects from development through commercialization. English proficiency is mandatory. Autonomous, self-starting attitude, problem-solving oriented, pragmatic. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Positive mindset and can-do attitude. Experience in Artwork management is a plus. #S&TS
