As a Senior IT Business Analyst you will need to ensure the successful capturing and transformation of business requirements into a detailed fit/gap Product Requirements Document (PRD) for product feature development against the Global Terminal Operating System (GTOS), as used in PSAI Container Terminals worldwide (Ports Centre of Business).
This requires you to engage Terminal Business Unit representatives from Operations and IT, as well as cascade the outcome into our own GTOS Product Development teams.
The GTOS system is a crown jewel within Ports IT and remains so through collaboration of an international team of strong professionals, seeking and receiving job satisfaction from challenging work in a complex environment.
BA work assignments can be on a per case basis, where you are autonomously managing and delivering the result, as well as acting in a large project team, the scale of which then has several BAs managed by a Lead BA with also an overall Project/Program Manager.
GTOS is a PSAI in-house suite of applications, developed using international vendor leveraging supported by our own product specialists, architecture and QC teams, with frequent software releases for fast response to business needs. Similarly, GTOS Project Implementations are benefitting from our self-developed GENE project methodology optimizing project management and rollouts for our business context and customers.
You will be reporting to the AVP of the Business Analysis group.
Obvious mid-term career evolutions if desired, are from senior self-managed Business Analyst into an additional role of Customer Product Trainer, Lead BA / team lead role, Product Line Development Manager and Deputy or full scale Project Manager.
Role:
Engaging individual Terminal representatives or a whole workgroup to facilitate ideation and elaborating high level business requirements into a more detailed and explicit format.
Engage Sr. Terminal staff and Management in prioritizing sets of Business requirements
Participate in Solutioning sessions and workshops, in case the level of complexity requires such additional phase, with then also extra roles like Solution Architect, Business Architect, Product Development specialists becoming called upon.
Participate in the project pre-study stage known as High Level Assessment to upfront identify key Product gaps, possible new or changed integrations with Local applications from the Terminal, incl. BI and Reporting portfolio, allowing a better Project scope definition and understanding
Review Software Designs cascading from PRDs and walk these through with Terminal representatives to achieve confirmation and customer sign-off
Perform fit-for-purpose reviews and evaluations autonomously or with Terminal Key Users on emerging new functionality for pre-tuning before releasing for acquaintance by a large(r) Operations community or into formal UAT testing
Additional to the BA role, having excellent presentation and communication skills, master the combination of GTOS Product domain knowledge and Operational flows, to become customer Product trainer for one or more GTOS applications and provide for Basic and Advanced training to Terminal Key-user staff, according to the train-the-trainer principle. As Senior member of the GTOS Implementation team, continuously improve on processes and methodology as well as assuming role of Coach for less experienced team members This assignment includes availability for international travel and short on site visits to Terminals, with indicative size and frequency of one to two weeks per visit, three to five times per year per Terminal project.

Profile:
Education: Master degree or Bachelor degree with established experience in ICT , Engineering or Sciences
Experience: years’ experience in industrial ICT Business Analysis of High end systems, running /7
Knowledge or background in Port operations & Container terminals is extra benefit
Knowledge or background in Product Software Development (SDLC) servicing an Installed Base
Broad knowledge of IT systems and platforms
Languages: English, with preferably one other language skill as well

Over ons
The PSA Group participates in port projects across Asia, Europe and the Americas with flagship operations in PSA Singapore Terminals and PSA Antwerp. As the port operator of choice in the world's gateway hubs, PSA currently processes some . containers per day, which amounted to a total for 1 of ,5 million TEUs (twenty foot equivalent units). The terminal in Singapore accounts for almost half of this volume.
PSA Belgium, PSA’s largest investment outside of Singapore, processed around .3 million TEUs in 8. PSA Antwerp is referred to as the PSA group’s second flagship.
In Belgium, PSA operates 3 container terminals: MPET (a joint venture between PSA Antwerp and TIL), Noordzee Terminal and Europa Terminal), but also PSA Breakbulk and PSA Zeebrugge. Over % of all containers coming into Antwerp, pass through one of these terminals.
