FunctieomschrijvingAs a Team Lead, you will work closely with a growing team of scientists, research assistants and lab technicians. Primarily, the immuno-oncology cellular assay team conducts, optimizes and applies a wide variety of existing and new functional assays and helps ImmunXperts’ clients characterize their therapeutic candidates.
Secondly, you will closely work with the other team leads and the lab manager to plan the work according to the available resources. Depending on projects and customer needs, you will also work with other teams that are focusing on different immunological applications.
You will need to apply your expertise in immunology, your analytical thinking, and your problem-solving skills to design, test and confirm novel routes of translational testing to adequately address customer requests.
Key responsibilities
• Plan and organize the IO projects using available resources to ensure delivery on budget and on time.
• Provide leadership and direct contribution to functional and/or cross-functional improvements.
• Coordinate and oversee progress of assigned projects, intervening where necessary to stay on track, and report to management and the relevant customers regarding progress.
• Participate in the development and optimization of cellular assays.
• Perform cellular assays according to the Standard Operation Procedures.
• Analyze data and write technical and scientific reports.
• Respond to client inquiries and identify new project opportunities with existing clients.
• Guide, train and support team members to ensure quality work is delivered as planned.
• Support the sales and business development team in drafting and reviewing project proposals.
• Implement and re-inforce quality standards through continuous improvement strategies.
• Participate in conferences and review literature to stay up-to-date on progress in the field.
• Prepare and deliver technical and scientific presentations (talks, posters and webinars).
ProfielExperience
• PhD in Immunology, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science, or equivalent by experience.
• Track record of leading by example.
• Managerial experience.
• Strong immunology and immuno-oncology background.
• Ability to independently design and execute experiments, analyze and communicate scientific data.
• Experience working with human primary cells (PBMCs, T cells, NK cells, macrophages, etc.).
• Hands-on expertise with cellular assays and immunological techniques, including flow cytometry, ELISA, Luminex, Incucyte and ELISpot.
• Strong knowledge of assay development, and validation and optimization methods.
• Previous work in direct contact with customers and service providers is a plus.

• Minimal 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, biotech or CROs, in roles with a strong immunology/immuno-oncology focus.
